The Pirate Bay’s trial is just around the corner. I don’t have any need to pirate (I use Free software, don’t listen to music, etc) and even find piracy a little irritating (if people used Linux instead of pirated Windows, Microsoft’s monopoly would shatter rapidly) but I think they are the just party.

Not only do I not see any ethical problems with their sight, but they also are clearly doing nothing illegal: they are only linking to content and non-profit piracy is not a crime in Sweden. Furthermore, the trial is obviously politically motivated.

If they loose this trial, it will be (IMHO) a strike against freedom of speech on the Internet.
